I've tried searchig everywhere but I don't know how to be precise with my keywords so I haven't been able to find relevant answers.
Custom or Modifiabel tables seem to have different meanings than what I'm looking for.
I have a huge data file that contains a small amount of funding related information and is mostly identifiable information: contract numbers, adresses, contact details, ABN, investment area, funding tags etc etc.
There's about 30+ colums all up and I want to create a table in Power Bi so that each user can choose what displays in the table. So for example rather than having all 30+ columns display all the time, each user can decide what colmuns they are interested in and only those colums display in the table so that they don;t have to sort through 30+ colums.
I know a splicer can filter and splice the information but this seems to splice it in relation to a specific parameter, such as YTD funding spliced by investment area then funding tag so it splices and sorts it by those parameters. Where as I just want something that you can check the fields of the data you are interested so that just the relevant fields show in the table and then someone else can come along who is interested in different data and can choose to only display the fields they are interested in.
So for example I want all 30+ fields availbel to be chosen from, so that someone who is interested in YTD funding, Funding Schedule starte date, Funding Schedule End Date, Contract Number and ABN can select those paremeters and the table just displays those feilds but then someone else comes along and is interested in Contact email, contact person, street address, state, postcode and contract manager can come along clear the the previous selctions and just pick the fields they are interested in so that only those display in the table and they don;t have to search through 30+ fields/columns.
Sorry, I didn't know how to explain that without over explaining, but I hope this makes at least some sense 🙂
