Thank you.

Hi @Char1,

This issue is likely caused by Intune policies that block external or free Power BI accounts. The IT link provided temporary access, but now both the app and link aren’t working because your device may not be fully compliant or account switching isn’t permitted. Please check your compliance status in the Company Portal, restart your device, and sign in only with your work account. If you need external access, IT will need to update Intune or conditional access settings. If the app still won’t open after confirming compliance, try reinstalling Power BI.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you!

unfortunately the app is still not loading.

There is 2 of us in a group of 7 that are having this issue.

I was able to uninstall and reinstall.

this is on my work IPad.

Hi @Char1,

To resolve this, ensure your Power BI app and iPadOS are up to date, then restart your device. If the problem persists, uninstall the app, restart your iPad, and reinstall it to remove cached data. Check your network connection as well—switching from corporate Wi-Fi or VPN to mobile data or another Wi-Fi may help if security policies or firewalls are blocking the app. Lastly, try signing out and back into your Microsoft account, as conditional access or device restrictions can affect some users.

Thank you.

Thank you for you time!

No I cannot get on to my account I am trying to access as a free user and I have to switch between accounts from an external origin.

This is through my work, and I have an IPad.

we just installed intune and that's when this problem started.

Hi @Char1,

This issue is probably due to Intune policies on your iPad, which can restrict free or external Power BI accounts. Make sure your device is compliant in Intune, log out of all accounts, restart your device, and then sign in with just one account—ideally your managed work account. Also try changing networks or reinstalling the app. If the problem continues, your IT team might need to update Intune settings to allow access.

Thank you.

Thank you for you time!

The app will not let me on to send a ticket.

how would I delete or uninstall?

I don't seem to find that option on this iPad.

@Char1  Power BI Desktop is not natively supported on an iPad. It is recommanded to use a windows computer.

Hi @Char1  you can go to the Task Manager and End the Power BI Process.

Then go to Control Panel and Uninstall it.

Then clear cache from Go to File > Options >  Data Load > Clear cache

Once done, restart you computer and again install power bi desktop from microsoft store.

Disconnect your internet and try to open Power BI Desktop once it open connect your internet connection.

Hi @Char1

  1. Restart your computer and try reopening Power BI.

  2. If it still doesn’t respond, clear the cache: Go to File >> Options >>  Data Load >> Clear cache.

  3. If the issue continues, reinstall Power BI Desktop from the official Microsoft site (this usually fixes launch issues).

  4. If none of the above works, raise a support ticket with Microsoft Power BI Support:
    https://support.fabric.microsoft.com/support/
