It has been a while since this question was asked, and today I faced the same problem. I could solve it and want to share with you as well. Don't panic, your paginated report visual will work. Just make sure after mapping your paginaed report, pass the parameters and also work on the format visual. In Visual part of Visualisation Pane, please switch on the Parameters and choose only the necessary file type in Export section. And every time hit the Apply Changes button and SAve. Good luck.
