Do you have any idea how can i work around the use of OLAP named sets in Power Bi Desktop?
HI @csillagandras,
Do you means get data from SSAS OLAP cube datasource?
If this is a case, you can refer to following article:
How to connect Power BI Desktop to a SSAS OLAP cube using the HTTP Data Pump
BTW, current power bi not support dynamic olap source who host with iis serve. I also not found any documents mentioned how to get data from olap name sets.

Xiaoxin Sheng
Hello @Anonymous,
thanks for your help. I managed to connect Power BI to the OLAP cube fine.
My problem is that there is a calculated measure in the cube that requires the use of a named set. And it works fine when I query the cube from Excel, however Power BI does not support named sets (https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/6706390-custom-and-named-sets-support) and I wanted to know whether it's possible to work around that.
Regards,
Andris Csillag
We are also interested in a work around for named sets
