It seems that .PBIX files created with 32-bit PowerBI will not open if you start using the 64-bit install. You will recieve an error like the following.
'filename.pbix' is incompatible with your current version of Microsoft Power BI Desktop. Please install the latest version and try opening the document again.
This message is misleading since you are on the latest release, but may be using a different 32/64 bit installer.
Does anyone have a workaround to convert .pbix files from 32-bit to 64-bit ?
You should be able to open 32 bit Power BI file in 64 bit Power BI Desktop version. Have you tried to uninstalled the 32 bit version first before installing the 64 bit version?
