I have been using Excel, functions and pivot tables for 20+ years. I consider myself an advanced user from that end. But I have been interested in leveling up my skills and learning Power Pivot and DAX for sometime. I already use Power Query a lot. About two weeks ago I started using Power Pivot and DAX. Its been a bit of a bumpy road these last several days with regards to learning the more intermediate to advanced stuff (e.g. Rankx, working with my data model) .
When it comes to general BI related to our HR database, my domain, we use Microstrategy. I mention that because I don't see myself using Power BI any time soon. Instead I am primarily using Power Pivot and DAX as needed for some data that we don't currently have in MicroStrategy. Right now I am trying to figure out how to do a few different things using DAX and Power Pivot and need help. Most of the forums/sites I have come across that have active usage in the last 2 or so years reference Power BI a lot more than Power Pivot. Am I correct in assuming that in general a Power Pivot user can benefit from using, including posting to "Microsoft Power BI Community" or for that matter any of the other sites that primarily mention Power BI?

@Anonymous,
Since Power BI has its roots in Power Pivot (as well as Power Query and Power View), you should benefit from Power BI sites. The DAX and data modeling topics you find in this forum should transfer to Power Pivot. I continually come across Power Pivot solutions that I'm able to apply to Power BI. So, yes, there's transferability.
