Power BI template (.pbit) does not work?

My templates doesn't work. I have no clue what should I do more. So I have no differencies between .pbix and .pbit files. What should I do? Please need quick responses if possible.

now there is difference between file sizes but still have no idea what differencies there are inside. I mean those templates still has data also.

    Hi Anonymous 

    You can try the follwing ways

    1.Open the current report, then go to  File > Options and Settings > Data Source Settings to remove the data source.

    2.Then select the 'File > Export > Power BI Template'
