Power BI running in diferent Domains with SQL Server Analysis Services
Hi Teams,
I'm trying to type domain/user and password when I getting data from SQL Server Analysis Services and Connect Live.
The server is instaled in [windows domain company 1] and my user is [windows domain company 2] . The PowerBI Desktop is trying to authenticate in [windows domain company 2] and the server wasn't found.
Is it necessary to use the Gateway or Direct Query or another way to provide domain/user and password? I'm begginer user.
I tested the connection in Microsft Excel and it's running the conection among the companies.
Sorry, but I can no longer follow the system architecture.

Unfortunately, I cannot install the gateway in the same network the database. It isn't the best way, but Could I install the On-premises data gateway (personal mode) in my computer?
The SQL Server Analysis Services in [windows domain company 1] and my user account and On-premises data gateway (personal mode) in my computer [windows domain company 2].
The companies was splited and during one year just one user will run the powerBI desktop to get the data.

Hi apologies for reopening the Topic : I have a similar issue we have .com and .au domains and the data is shared on Domain 1. How did you resolve your issue.
