Power BI reports using AAS tabular model

Hi team,

I am trying to create PBI reports using Desktop using Azure Analysis Services tabular model(created from Oracle database).

I have a requirement for creating a few write back reports as well, which have to update the data in the Oracle tables.

Please let me know if this is possible to write back using the reports created from the Tabular Model.

Regards

Hi @Anonymous ,

As far as I know, Power BI should only support read only to the data without write back to data source.

Power BI supports us to connect to Azure Analysis Service Database by Import/Live connection mode.

For reference: Power BI data sources - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

If you get data by Import mode, you can change data in Power Query Editor. If you use Live connection mode, you will create the data model in data source.

Best Regards,
