Power BI reliability - product breaking updates

Guys, I'm concerned.

I've been developping a dashboard (among with DW, ETL, etc.) for 18 months and am on the verge of deploying it to multiple clients.

I'm at stakes with an issue : the slicer loses its 'place' on selection. It's not a show stopper per se but it's definitely a bug and luckilly, the good Mircrosoft people acknoledge it as so.

What worries me though it the fact that this same exact bug is currently living its (at least) fourth comeback :

Each time the situation has been taken in charge but still, that's making me lose some confidence in the product.

Similarily, the recent june (2019) update has broke the Gantt chart.

Again, they're taking car of it but in the same way, a forced update is breaking the product.

What will I tell MY clients when that happens in the future? They don't care about Microsoft nor PowerBI, it's me they've hired to provide a dashboard. I don't want to end up between a rock and a hard place and lose my name/clients/renevues over a third party lack of quality.

Have you lived a similar situation in the last years? Are those episodes as common as my recent experience leads me to believe?

I feel your pain. There were several times in the past when an update would create a bug. Fortuntately, my IT team reconfigured my computer and removed the app so that my desktop version can use a delayed update approach. While the automatic update was nice, I prefer to run about a version and a half behind so that bugs are patched before I move up.

I have no suggestions for when service bugs appear.
