Power BI rearranges my data model

I'm having a problem where PBI Desktop will rearrange the shape of my data model. Mind you the relationships all stay the same but I've created a bunch of tables only for metrics/kpi and when I boot the application, instead of having them in a column next to my other tables, it stretches them out in a single line way to the right.

How do I get the model to remember the positioning I put them in?

When you say boot do you mean restart powerbi desktop?

What version are you using? I'm using Nov version with Dax tables as well as M tables and they all stay where I've moved them to.

I only see them move if I delete and recreate them.

It seems to be intermittent. I can't. It won't happen every time I start Power BI desktop.

I'm using the November 2017 edition.
