I have connected a SharePoint Online list in Power BI and I have a currency column I need to total. I have a negative currency value in this column displayed in ( $ ) parenthesis - it came over from SharePoint in parenthesis. The summation of this column is adding the negative value as a positive number to the column total. How do I get Power BI to recognize this as a negative number in the column?
Hi @michaelch
could you share your sample data, and I will test it later to see if I can reproduce this problem.

Not sure, but I am always struggling when I import data from SharePoint as the datatypes are not properly identified.
Try to check the query editor and make sure that data type is correct and that it wasn't altered during the import process.
