Power BI is Changing text Case Sensitivity

Robert14358 That is weird, it shouldn't change the value in the table. PQ is case sensitive, maybe transform it to the proper case under transform and then check.

Robert14358 That doesn't seem right, it is not supposed to change the text until you have some step in the PQ that is changing the case. Can you share the pbix file?

i cannot, its been doing this for 5 years.

You can try on your own PBI yourself, the same will happen.

Robert14358 I wouldn't have asked because I know there is no way it will change the data, here I entered 3 rows in PQ and this is what I see in the table view, it is exactly the same as what was available in PQ, no data is changed.

It needs to be only a few letters capitalized, if u capital the whole word power bi thinks that that is fine.

maybe it has to do with LEGACY dataflows?

when just entering data, it doesnt change it, but the dataflow text does get changed.

im currently using LEGACY data flows connector and do not want to change it.
