Power BI for Funnel data
Hello All,
I have received a requirement where I was proposing Power BI, need your expert advice!
Requirement -
Need to track and report secondary sales:
1. Our products are sold by Dealers, Dealers have sub-dealers and Traders who have accounts(end customers). They are all distributed in different cities in India. Dealers are currently sharing data in MS Excel with us and we do manual compilation to generate reports.
2. The report also covers Revenue from each product monthly.
3. There are many products however, we also want to see which products are not ordered/sold in that specific month.
4. Dealers are in an external network and we are in a corporate network so dealers can upload or post data via the Internet. At the same time, we do not want dealers to see data from each other.
5. Preferably if there is an interface where dealers can input data and that comes compile in Power BI.

- Data Security: Power BI has robust security measures in place. You can set up Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI. This allows you to control data access at a row level based on user roles. In your case, you can create a role for each dealer and configure RLS such that they can only view their own data.

- Data Input Interface: Power BI itself does not provide a data input interface for external users. However, you can use PowerApps, a sister service to Power BI, to create a data input interface. PowerApps allows you to create a custom form where dealers can input their data. This data can then be saved to a data source like SharePoint or SQL Server, from where Power BI can pull the data for reporting.

Many thanks for your reply with a possible solution. I am getting confident now to get my solution from Power BI.
