Power BI embedded report shows incorrect login id

Hi Everyone,

We have a semantic model created in workspace (with RLS implemented) and a Paginated report created out of it, after embedding the report we see the RLS working fine when the user logins to the application the report sutomatically gets filterd to its respective data, But the report shows Incorrect User name as higlighted below, However In the workspace and Report server the username displays as expected

This can happen due to differences in how the UserID is handled between the Power BI Report Builder and the Power BI service.

Firstly , you must ensure that the UserID parameter is correctly set up in your paginated report. The UserID might be displayed differently depending on whether the report is run in Power BI Report Builder or the Power BI service

The format of the UserID can differ based on whether the computer running Power BI Report Builder uses Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.
