Power BI dynamic Drill when Switching years in filters

Hi

While using Year as filters is it possible to drill up the visuals to the higher level dynamically while selecting another year from the date filter, so that i wont get blank space for the particular visual

Hi @annaamalaim,

Based on my test, assume the date field generate hierarchy Year, Quarter, Month, Day in chart x-axis, after we drill down to the lowest level Day, then select the Year value (eg: 2017) in slicer visual, the chart will not drill up to the Year, Quarter or Month level automatically.

In fact, the chart value will be filtered by the slicer checked value. Means, if current chart display day values in all years , it will display day values filter by that specific year (eg: 2017). But if current chart already display days for another specific year (eg: 2016), once we select the Year value (eg: 2017) in slicer visual, the chart will display as blank, when we drill up to the Year level manually, the chart will display year values for year 2017.

Is it possible to drill up automatically when we switch through year filter.Is there any solution to do that??
