Power BI desktop running on Windows Server 2012 Remote Desktop Services

Getting the following error from Power Bi Desktop after successfully installing the client on a Windows Server 2012 server with Remote Desktop Services Enabled.      "Couldn't load the model schema."...

We encountered the error "This implementation is not part of the Windows Platform FIPS validated cryptographic algorithms" today and tracked it down to the FIPS algorithm being enabled. When disabled, we were able to get Power BI Desktop working as expected again.

    You need to Update your window. I too was facing the same issue but resolved when my Windows was updated.
