Hi Power BI community, I'm encountering a problem. I can login to my PowerBI account using a browser but I cannot login to my Power BI desktop app using the same email and password. I'm getting an error message saying that the email does not exist on the Power BI desktop app but no such error on a browser. My account is a personal account and should have no admin nor duplicate registration issues. I checked the traces folder, but I can't figure out the problem. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling; disabling the antivirus and firewall. All did not work, unfortunately. Hope someone has a solution. Thanks much in advance. Cheers

Yes, I can log in to app.powerbi.com
I did as you suggested: Go to File-> Options and settings -> Options -> Security Option -> and check : Use My Default browser... I also cleared the cache... But I still cannot login to my Power BI desktop. I used the same email and password that I used to login to app.powerbi.com. I am getting the same error message on Power BI desktop -- that the email does not exist.
I tried changing the signin pathway to "Sign In Using Work or School Account" just to see if it works (note: my Power BI is a personal account). My email add was surprisingly recognized and I was asked to input my password. But, I got a different error message--Error code: 80072EE7
I just clicked continue and left my laptop for a while. Strange enough, it seemed to have worked. Now I'm logged in to my Power BI desktop.
Not sure exactly what happened. But thanks again for taking the time to respond to my message.
@Anonymous , first of all, check if are you able to log in to app.powerbi.com. If not, means power bi is not enabled for your login
if that is working, try this setting in power bi desktop and then try login again
Go to File-> Options and settings -> Options -> Security Option -> and check : Use My Default browser( Visible after scroll)
if needed, clear the cache of the default browser
Try login again, make sure password is correct
