Power BI dekstop not responding during start

Hi all,   I just installed PowerBI in my notebook. But when I try to run it, it stop when "..initialization.." My OS is Windows 7 Professional, CPU 2.2 GHz 64 bit, RAM 8GB, Display resolution is 1...

Hi axaeffect,

 

I'm certainly sure the latest Power BI Desktop can be installed on Windows 7. In your scenario, please reinstall the May update desktop Microsoft Power BI Desktop . When you run the desktop, please use Process Monitor  to check which process is failing.

axaeffect, the Event logs from Event Viewer can also help narrow down the error.
