Power BI assesment and graded tests

Hello everybody, I'm looking for online resources for Power BI tests in order to asses someone else's proficiency in Power BI. I need two kinds of tests:

  1. An assesment test I can give to a number of persons to get an idea of their current level of Power BI knowledge. The idea is that they can take the assesment before a workshop so I can adjust the content based on their current level.
  2. A graded test I can give to a number of persons so I can validate their learning after completing a Power BI training program.

I'm looking ideally for free resources, but could be paid if the cost is reasonable. It is important that the tests seem professional and not just like something I stumbled upon on the internet. Could anyone point me to some Power BI testing resources?

Thanks! -Mario

Great idea - my company has a skills assessment for Excel, but haven't yet gotten around to developing one for Power BI. The links provided so far might give you a good starting point for number 1. You could also try searching for practice exam questions for the Microsoft Power BI certifications 20778 and DA-100;

For your question 2. - what type of content do you typically cover in the training programs? Is it comprehensive? With Power BI being such a big beast it might be difficult to find a test that works exactly for your scenarios. Is it feasible to do a practical exam? In other words, give the attendees a task or series of tasks to complete and verify that they get the final correct result? Depending on how you set this up, it might require more time to grade but could be more relevant to the content you actually cover.

Do let us know if you find anything stellar! Like I said, great idea and something I might look to develop on my own for my courses, but if there's an awesome resource already out there, no sense reinventing the wheel.

Hi everyone, thanks for your suggestions, I found a great resource in case anyone else is interested.

Check out https://www.pluralsight.com/ they have training for a lot of technology subjects. As far as Power BI training goes the content is fine (for that I like better https://pragmaticworks.com/). Howerver they have a feature called Skill IQ where you get a test of about 20 questions each run, and it uses AI to adapt to your answeres. If you are getting them wrong it gives you easier questions, and if you are getting them right you get harder questions. In the end it gives you a score based on your answers and the difficulty of the questions and you also get a percetile score so you know how you rank among all the respondents.
