Power BI and MFA And Snowflake

We are using Power BI Desktop and pulling in data from Snowflake.  Snowflake uses DUO for MFA and we have enabled it on the accounts pulling in data from Snowflake.  We have run the statement in Snowflake that stops the prompting of the Snowflake creds.  That works.  But everytime a field is pulled from a dataset the user that created the user is prompted in DUO for permission.  How do I limit or stop this?  I don't believe the issue is Snowflake but DUO or Power BI.

Help.

Did you work out how to resolve this?

We've run into the same thing today after turning on MFA.  Every time a Dataflow accesses Snowflake, the user is prompted in DUO to allow it.

No one has responded to this so I will give it a whirr.  Are you using imported or direct query out of curiosity?  Also assuming this is in the desktop but not the service?

you said;

'but everytime a field is pulled from a dataset the user that created the user is prompted in DUO for permission.'

Not quite sure what you mean by this.  Is this everytime a field is referenced or when they are pulling a new field into the power bi dataset?

In Power BI setting there are security settings which may be relevant?

It might be worth checking them out.

also I assume you have been through this documenation?

To answer your question, Users are prompted when first opening the report and when adding a new field.  We are using DirectQuery on the dataset.

okay, are you able to share your security settings as per the screenshot above under options?
