Power BI add-in is not working properly in powerpoint

Hi There ,

I have a Power BI add-in in my powerpoint application so i can embed my power bi reports into powerpoint. But for some reasons i dont want to show report live in presantaions just i would like to show as picture that moment of reports , just like screenshot of report.Normally there is  a menu  at the right above of add in screen , from  this  menu , i was choosing " Save as a saved image" and then add in screen was becoming to as an image , but now when i choose this menu an error screen is coming , i shared all screens that i am using as before, is there any friend that can explain why it happens please?

Hi @carpe79 ,

We recently released a new feature that introduced better and easy way to convert the live add-in to image: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/improved-image-mode-in-power-bi-add-in-for-powerpoint/

The new feature is easier to discover and introduces two snapshot flavors - one that shows up only if the user has permission to the report and the other shows up for everyone that can access the presentation.

In addition, the image state is respected also when users are using PPT web (which is the old image, was not respected and the add-in was showing only live content).

As a result we disabled the old image capture. We understand that there might be a period of confusion, but we believe that the new experience is providing more functionality and value.
