Power BI Version Control that does not require a premium license or use SharePoint

Are there any version control solutions out there that do not require a premium license or use Sharepoint or OneDrive?  I've seen lots of solutions but most of them require a premium license and we're just on Pro.  We're also a Google shop so outside of Power BI we really don't use any Microsoft products.  With these restrictions in mind I haven't been able to find any solutions.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

How do you feel about using Powershell to disect PBIX files and/or to run DMV queries against the XMLA endpoints and then push the extracted data into Github manually?
