Hi Anonymous ,
1. Check if the on-premise data gateway installed on the same machine as Power BI desktop. If not, please make sure the machine has on-premise data gateway run can access Teradata database.
2. Double check the server name, database name, credential entered when you create the data source under gateway are the same as in Power BI desktop.
3. Update the on-premise data gateway to the latest version.
4. Downloaded the latest Teradata ODBC driver on the gateway server and for the authentication piece, use Windows credentials.

can all gateway cluster members access your Teradata data source independently?

The Teradata data source is configured with basic authentication. Also SSO is disabled so it should work with the credentials.
Also the connection get successfully created in the data source on service showing cunnection successful.

Not really what I asked. can all gateway cluster members access your Teradata data source independently? Ie can you log in remotely to all gateway cluster members and do a connectivity test from each of them?

I have observed that the issue is only when the Power BI dataset is published in DQ model. If the dataset is import, the dataset is refreshing and I'm able to view the report
