Power BI Template Report Supporting Multiple Scorecards?

We have a Power BI report in a "shell" like structure where when we need to create a new scorecard for a department, we do the measure work in the back end, update the view that feeds the front end, update a score card id parameter in Power Query, and publish the new report.

The issue, however, is when we decide we need to make a change to the look and feel of one Scorecard, we have to go into 50 different projects to make the same change.

Is there any way to create 1 source Power BI template style report that can feed downstream reports with this sort of structure in mind?

We can't use the Metrics feature because it needs to be more automated and we can't have people checking items in.

Would making an App Template be the answer? I just started looking into those today but not 100% what they're used for.

Hi @djallarii ,

Yes you can try that. When you need to make changes to the appearance of a visual object, make the changes directly in the template and republish it. the report's data is not included in templates, so after republishing it just needs to be connected to the data source to work properly.
