Power BI Sync Slicer Issue

I have Power BI Report that has a many pages for all these pages I have to use one filter page that has all filters for this report.

I have synced slicer in the filter page with all other pages

Data

My data look like this

ID Code Value Group
1 KJ13 571 Finance
2 KJ82 415 Finance
3 TF72 454 HR
4 KJ58 362 Operation
5 ND77 607 HR
6 KJ83 350 Operation
7 TF96 531 Finance
8 YT39 840 HR
9 SS34 976 Finance
10 ND26 155 Operation

Current Situation

I am filtering on Group field

my filter look like this

in the filter slicer I got all options

Group Filter

in one of the pages (called PageTop5) which has other internal filters

the data displayed are these only

ID Code Value Group
9 SS34 976 Finance
8 YT39 840 HR
5 ND77 607 HR
1 KJ13 571 Finance
7 TF96 531 Finance

my problem is :

When I Filter for Finance in the filter page

Page one shows only Finance records

ID Code Value Group
9 SS34 976 Finance
1 KJ13 571 Finance
7 TF96 531 Finance

When I Filter for HR in the filter page

Page one shows only HR records

ID Code Value Group
8 YT39 840 HR
5 ND77 607 HR

but, when I filter for Operation,

I get all records

ID Code Value Group
9 SS34 976 Finance
8 YT39 840 HR
5 ND77 607 HR
1 KJ13 571 Finance
7 TF96 531 Finance

my expectation is to get no records at all, as there are no Operation records

How can I make it perform this way, if the filter in the synced filter page is filtering on a Group that does not exist at all in PageTop5 then show no records at all instead of showing all records?

Hi @AkrMus ,

So I took your table and entered it in Power BI. Loaded the Group for the slicer, and selected the top five for value as shown in the picture. When I add that filter to the page, only the two expected groups show up on the slicer, as expected.  Your unexpected results may either be from copying the slicer from other pages, or from your relationships.  I will give you the pbix so you can see the behaviour. UNEXPECTED
Let me know if you have any questions.

If this solves your issues, please mark it as the solution, so that others can find it easily. Kudos are nice too.
