So I have a shapefile that shows up in Power BI, uploaded a TOPOjson file basically and it works fine in the sense that it shows the map and all the unique lines.
But why isn't there some sort of funcationality to where I can superimpose other data based on, say, zip code, onto these maps? ANd where this said data comes from somewhere other than the shape file ? In google maps it's fairly easy to just upload a shape file for example and then upload other data unrelated to anything in the shape file where it gets superimposed by zip code etc., address, etc.
HOw do you do this in POwer BI? Again, no problem getting the shape file into Power BI. I want to use other data sources to superimpose onto the same map easily like in GOogle maps.

Did you mean the features that similar as reference layer on ArcGIS map visuals? If that is the case, you can use ArcGIS map and refer to the following links:
