Power BI Report Sharing
Alright, so i'm a novice.
Someone would share a power BI report with me. He expects me to work in his report and create a new sheet and work in that sheet.
I would like to know how to proceed with this ?
How can i load that report in my power BI desktop and work ?
Alternatively, can i work at my end and later on copy paste work/new sheet to his report ?
Please suggest
Simplest approach would be for them to send you the PBIX (or to place it in a file share where you can grab it). As you can imagine this includes a risk that you overwrite each other's work, so communication is key. And backups 🙂

lbendlin : Thanks, Ok, so if i use this approach and once i have completed my work of creating a new sheet in the existing report then all i need to do is publish to the same workspace and it overrides the original one isn't it ?
They would need to know about that, and would then need to download the pbix from the workspace, overwriting whatever work they had done on the report in the meantime.
Communication. Lots of it. And Backups.
