Power BI Report Builder Unable to publish reports

Hi

First off apologies if this is the wrong forum but I am having an issue publishing a report to the report server, I received the following error message:

Operation returned an invalid status code 'BadRequest'
ErrorCode: NotCreatedByFormattedTableReport
Details: An unknown error was encountered. Please try again.

Does anyone know the resolution to this issue?

Thanks

Alex

Hi @Anonymous

We got new feature called "Formatted Data Table" with that we can create a simple direct paginated reports in the service. This can be created even in Pro workspace. if you try to publish your report to non-premium workspace from report builder then you will get error. This error is more of the new feature.

Error -- NotCreatedByFormattedTableReport

Thanks

Hari

Hi, @Anonymous

do you have permission to publish to report parts folder on the report server? you could check it.https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/paginated-reports/paginated-reports-save-to-power-bi-service

Requirements:
Either a Power BI Pro license and write access to a workspace in a Power BI Premium capacity.
Or Premium Per User (PPU) license.
If your report data source is on premises, you need to install a gateway. Read more about on-premises gateways. After you upload the report, you connect to the on-premises data source by using the gateway.
