Hi All,
Unsure if this is the correct location (Please advise if I'm incorrect) - The report builder default is to only show the parent for a Row Group once, for each child value.
I would like to get the parent value to repeat for each row it's relevant - I've looked on line, I've tried Co-Pilot the suggestions are either wrong, or not present at all.
Please can you assist - also is there a good training material that covers these elements clearly?
Regards,
Mathew

Hi @101Mathew,
Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Community Forum.
In Design View, click the cell containing =Fields!Source_System.Value as shown in Fig1a.
With that cell selected:
Either use the Properties pane (Fig1b) and set:
HideDuplicates = None
Or right-click on the cell → choose Text Box Properties → go to Visibility →
Uncheck: “Hide duplicates” (see Fig3a).
This tells Report Builder to show the value on every row, even if it's repeated.
Run the report again – your Fig4 should now display the parent value (Source System) on every row it relates to.

Please follow below steps to Repeat Parent Value in Each Row in Report Builder;

2.Go to the Properties pane and set HideDuplicates to None.
3.Or: Right-click → Text Box Properties → uncheck “Hide duplicates”. and This will Make sure the parent value repeats on every row instead of showing only once.

Firstly thank you for your reply:
I presume you are talking about selecting this cell (see the Fig1a), this give me the properties in Fig1b?
I also tried selecting the Row Group version of Source System Fig2a, this gives me these options Fig2b
If I try selecting text box properties get this menu fig3a - I presume I'm missing something from your comments
In the final screen shot you'll see that the source system is not being repeated for each row of data it is connected too (fig 4)
