Is there a way within a Matrix to reset the Column Groups in a Crosstab report when a Row Group changes? For example, in one group, there will be two columns associated with it. But in another, there would only be one.
In Crystal Reports, this was achieved by placing the crosstab within the Group Header. In the below example, "Designer" and "Engineer" are in the "Piping" group. However, when the group changes to "Proj Management & Admin", those aren't in there, just "Leader".
However, I'm not sure how this is achieved in a Matrix as this is the result, with all three Column Groups combined:
I realize it's working correctly, but how do I make it work like in the Crystal Reports example using a Matrix?
Solved! Go to Solution.
It appears you can embed the crosstab Matrix into another parent Matrix that is set to the field you want to group by. This seems to reset the Column Groups as the group changes to match the parent Matrix.
However, I have a new problem where I seem to get a blank page between pages, as it seems even though it's resetting it's acting like those other columns are still there, running on to the next page. But that will be another post to address that issue.
