Power BI New Slicer - Add checkbox

Hello,

I am trying out the (new) slicer in PBI Desktop and one of the features that it doesn't seem to have compared to the classic slicer is the checkboxes next to items.

I have seen screenshots in the official documentation where we can see checkboxes next to items :

I would like to replicate these checkboxes but from my understanding, it's not just a feature to turn off/on in the options, you have to set it up using the Images section of the slicer and have a measure that returns a dynamic image and using the State option (default, on press, selected etc...).

But it's not like you can put a measure for the default state (that would be a link to an unchecked box image from the web) and put an other for the Selected state.

It's only one measure for all states, and I guess you have to change the image displayed depending on whether the item is selected or not in the measure directly.
My issue is that I don't know how to set up my measure to be able to check if an item is selected or not.

Has anyone tried this before ?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Best regards

Hi @Ant_C ,

You do not setup a dinamic measure, you have to have an image for each one and then use it on the FX so you would have a measure for thedefault, another for selected, another for the hover and so on.

Check this video around 50 minutes you need to add a fill image to the buttons.

Hello,

Thanks for the answers. I confirm you do it by going to the Buttons section (and not Images), creating static images like this (in ppt) and use them as background :

And you set one image for each state.

Hi @Ant_C

You use the Image | State option.

Set an image for Selected and a different image for Default.

Here I have the smilling face when selected and the user profile when not.
