Hello Team,
We are using SSAS for storing aggregated data for Power BI Reporting. We would like to use Live Connection (Analysis Service). How to migrate our SSAS DB to Live connection.
Thanks,

Solved! Go to Solution.
Can we create Analysis Service database in Power BI cloud
We call that a Power BI Dataset - it presents as a SSAS Tabular cube. You can use all the SSAS commands for queries and partition management against these Power BI datasets.
No need to migrate anything. Connect from Power BI to your SSAS source. That connection by default will be a live connection.
Thanks for your response.
Our SSAS database is "On premises" SSAS Server. I heard that Live connection meaning SSAS database can be loaded in Power BI cloud and we can do Power BI reporting from Power BI Cloud Analysis instance. Could you please charify.
Thanks,

Still the same process. Since your SSAS is on-premise you need an enterprise gateway too. Make sure it has a very fast network connection.
Thank you for your response. One last question- Can we create Analysis Service database in Power BI cloud and can do similar reporting like on premises SSAS to Power BI Reporting
Current Situation - SQL Server Analysis Service to Power BI Reporting
Expected - Analysis Service (in Power BI Cloud) to Power BI Reporting
Thanks,
