Power BI Matrix Visual - increase the allowable columns from around 100 to at least 140

The matrix visual is currently set to around 100 columns. I have a report of Air Quality permit numbers that ranges up to almost 140.

The matrix will not show all of the columns, so the customer has to filter the list with slicers the get the display to below 100 columns.

This report has been un use for several years, and I would like to see it work correctly.

Thank you,

    Hi Anonymous ,

Actually below are the ways to show all the 140 columns

    1) Use “Show on Rows” -> Go to Matrix visual settings → Values → Show on rows = ON.
This converts your wide column layout into a vertical format, displaying what were columns as individual rows.
You’ll keep all 140 permit numbers visible, with scrolling down instead of across.

    2) Use a Table Visual Instead:
-> Try switching to a Table visual, which can sometimes render more columns than Matrix.
-> Table visuals support horizontal scrolling better.

    3) Split the Data into Groups:
If the 140 columns are present split them into groups (e.g., 70+70) and create two separate visuals.

if the issue still persist I recommend submitting your detailed feedback and ideas through Microsoft's official feedback channels, such as the Microsoft Fabric Ideas.

    Regards

    Chaithanya.
