Hi all,
I am facing an issue with a Power BI matrix visual. I have expanded a hierarchy level in the matrix, but when I try to use drill-through, both the expand/collapse action and the drill-through action seem to happen at the same time.
As a result, the drill-through page opens but no value is shown. I am not sure why this is happening.
Note: In Power BI Desktop, when I use drill-through, the page shows values only after I manually remove the complex drill-through filters, such as Company Name and FYYEARQTR. However, it does not work properly with a simple drill-through unless I remove those filters manually.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? Why does this happen in a matrix visual, and what is the best way to resolve it?
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Adeel Nazir
Hi @automation
I wanted to check if you had the opportunity to review the information provided. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
Thank you.
Hi @automation ,
you can try creating buttons for drillthrough to navigate to destination page.on the destination page you can have a card showing all the filters applied so user can easily understand filter context clearly.
also instead of expand/collapse layout, you can also have tabular layout so that only drillthrough option will be visible to user.
Please give kudos or mark it as solution once confirmed.
Thanks and Regards,
Praful
Did you by chance enable keep all filters? This option not only the value from the current row of the drilthrough column but as well as the slicer and filter values.
