Power BI Licensing

Hello Community!!   We have built one powerbi analytical solution for client. Now we need to restrict the number of users to use the PowerBI desktop .pbix file. We would like to assign some license...

    dia612 , Licensing is for publishing the report in Power BI service.

    To share a pbix file, you don't need any license. 

    You can share the file with only specific person you want to.

    If you just want to share the pbix file, you do not require any licences. Power BI licences only needed in Power BI Service.

     

    You can only share the pbix by just sending it to others like sending other documents via email or teams or other communicating tools. And counting the users opening this pbix is not a supported feature.
