Power BI Licence Question

Hi Folks,

I am looking at publishing sales reports online and then each individual sales person can go in to the report to view their figures. I have sorted out the access rights that they only see their own customers but am I right in thinking that they will need Pro licences going forward in order to view the data even though they wont be doing anything with it apart from using certain filters ??

      unless you have power bi premium or embedded a power bi pro license is required to view a report on the service.

    Share reports, dashobord etc require a Pro Licence for  eache user that want to access at shared object.

     

    You can avoid pro license for each user going to Premium license, in this case only one Pro License is required for who publish the reports.

      Sorry how can I avoid pro licence if I want the consumers to access a report I have shared ??

        Richard76 you can't, the only way you can do that is by sharing pbix files which means you have to use the desktop and you can't control security / access.  sharing is paid for functonality with power bi
