It has been few weeks now that I am unable to connect to my Fabrics Lakhouse database from my dashboard. It used to work well previously but last month I started getting this error.
Details: "Microsoft SQL: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)"

I have Admin Role in the Workspace, I have doble check the Endpoint string yes have nearly tried it everyday for pas couple of weeks each time copying it from the Endpoint.
It is an organisation workspace so highly unlikely but not impossible that something might have changed is there anything that I could look for?
Hi @rd10397,
Have you tried using a different client/application to connect to your SQL endpoint just to rule out if it is related to the SQL endpoint or the application itself?
For example test with an test udl file or SQL Server Management Studio.
Yes i have tried MSSQL and Azure Data Studio but get the same error.
Also something to note that the Connect works (Direct) but not the Connect to SQL endpoint, and I need the SQL endpoint to work for my dashboards.
Yeah I have tried Azure Data Studio but its the same error also something to note that Onelake Data Hub connection works for just Connect (Direct) but not for Connect to SQL endpoint.
Hi @rd10397,
Just to double check, what kind of workspace role does your account have?
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-engineering/workspace-roles-lakehouse
Has something changed in the workspace role setup?
Additionaly, have you double checked the connection string in the SQL Endpoint settings of your Lakehouse?
