Power BI Gateway Installation Failure
Hi, I am trying to install Gateway on a Windows server 2016 (64 bit) but keep on getting below error. I checked the .NET framework version and it is 4.7.2053.0. I have tried to install all the versions of gateway from July-19 to Nov-19 but getting the same error.
The strange part is, latest gateway got successfully installed on Windows-10 64 bit with .NET framework 4.7.3056.0
I am guessing I am missing some configuration. Please help me solve it GilbertQ

What happens if you install .Net Version 4.8?

You will have to restart after the .Net installation and try again?

You will have to restart after the .Net installation and try again?Hi GilbertQ it successfully got installed when upgraded to .NET 4.8 version. Thank you 🙂 However it's strange because as per microsoft documentation, only Feb-2020 version gateway requires .Net 4.8. But thanks anyway !!

Hi Gilbert, I have installed the .Net framework but still get a failure any recommendation?
The .NET Framework on this machine needs to be a newer version before installation or upgrade can continue. Please upgrade to the latest available .NET version. https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2101321
