Power BI Export to PDF question

Hello everyone!

I have a question regarding the Export to PDF functionality in Power BI Desktop. Right now, we are having 5-6 different report pages based on client level page filter applied on atleast 2-3 report pages. Everytime, we need to take a PDF copy, we have to manually hide the other two clients page and then export it.

Is there a simplified way to achieve this without having to hide / unhide pages everytime to export reports of different clients? We need a way for us to automate or get an easier workaround for manual hide/unhide things. The reason I am looking for this suggestion is because we are planning to make this bigger for 20-25 odd pages for different clients and then it would be super difficult to do hide/unhide everytime for each client.

Any suggestions / help would be highly appreciated.

Regards!

  • Hi Anonymous ,

Currently, in PowerBI Desktop, export to pdf exports the current page displayed in the report.

As you said, if you want to send specific pdfs to different users, this approach may be cumbersome. But the best way is to set RLS to display the corresponding visual results according to different users.

    Hope it helps you more.

    Best Regards,
    Henry
