I had been working normally with the connector last week adding measures and dimensions without any problems. I created a table with the data from essbase, This week I refreshed the report and I'm getting this error.
Anyone knows if it is somenthing of the connection or the connector because I did not change anythig.
Thank you.
Regards.

Hi @lnerii94 ,
Open your Essbase tool and run the same query that Power BI is using. If the query returns results normally, then the issue might be within Power BI. If it fails, the issue may be with the Essbase server or query logic.
Ensure your Essbase connector is up to date. Sometimes, older versions have compatibility issues.
Once try accessing the Essbase endpoint directly:
in browser
curl -v https://<essbase-server-endpoint>
if it's an HTML page with an error message, that confirms the issue is on the server side.
Thanks and regards.

Hello @v-echaithra just give you a little update.
The issue was solved, the network team restarted the XMLA service in the Essbase server. Now the connection between Power BI and Essbase is working.
Thank you so much Again for your help.

Hi @v-echaithra Sorry for the late response.
The network team is still working in check if all the services are up in the Essbase Server, it seems the Apt/XMLA service doesn't work well. I'm going to mark as solution because is not a Power BI issue, but thank you for the advices, you help me a lot to figure out it was not a PBI Desktop problem.
Thank you.
Regards.

I'm getting the error when I tried to create the connect before the query. I'm not able to run the query en essbase tool. A coworker tried to create in excel and he was able to do the connection and de query.
I tryed to do curl and this the message that I'm getting.
So the issue is on the server side?.
Hi @lnerii94 ,
Please ask your server or network team to check the Essbase web server logs, look for any malformed XML or HTML responses, restart the Essbase services, and also verify whether Smart View traffic and Power BI traffic are hitting the same URL and port.
If still faces the same issue then please consider raising a support ticket for further assistance.

Hi @lnerii94 ,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsift Q&A.
As the error is telling that it got an hr tag opened but no corresponding closing tag of the body, seems like server side issue.
There is a similar kind of issue here Solved: Essbase Connector - XMLA Parser Error - Microsoft Fabric Community, please go through this as well.
Try to Clear credentials in Power BI and reconnect
In Power BI, go to:
File -> Options & settings -> Data source settings
Find your Essbase connection
Clear Permissions
Reconnect + re-authenticate

Thank you @v-echaithra for your reply, The first thing I did was clear credentials and it didn't work. Then I tried to connect from a virtual machine and I'm getting the same error, I asked to a coworker to replicate in his computer and he is getting the same error.
I checked the link that you share with me and I see the IPv6 is disable too. I'm not able to change the DNS because in my company we use own DNS. I need to ask something to the network team?
Thanks.
Regards.
