Power BI Ecel Add-ins

I am currently connecting to a Power BI data source in excel. I keep getting this error when I click on a field, I was wondering if anyone has encountered the same. This error pops up with Excel 2016 but not 2013.

Hi @Oluduroj,

Based on the error message, it seems that it's a limitation for DirectQuery models. In your scenario, do you use SSAS data source in directQuery model? Please try to use import model and check if this issue persists or not. And provide us more details, so that we can reproduce this issue and make further analysis.

Regards,

Charlie Liao

Hi Charlie,

Thanks for your response. You are right this is a DirectQuery but using a SQL server database as my data source. I haven't tried using the import model. I'll try that today and i'll let you kbnow if I get the same error. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Olu.
