Hi,
So I have created a map using the shape map visualization linking my JSON with my datasheet from excel. My issue is that when I need to link the color to the maps I have to add the column from the excelsheet to "Legend" and "Color Saturation" to show the values that I would like to be represented by the color scheme available.
After this is done, when the mouse hovers over the polygons in the shape map the "Legend" and "Color Saturation" are shown as a label for the shape map of which is an issue because they both have the same indicator used. How do I switch off one or both so it doesnt show a duplicate in my hover over label?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Use a matrix visual and show values on rows. Or create your own custom visual.
Shape maps support custom tooltips.
Create your own tooltip page and point the visual to it.
Thanks @lbendlin !
I tried creating custom tooltips and this works great. However since I have 7 columns to show I would like the custom tool tip to look like the default tooltip you get (below with black background) and is there another way to display the column custom tooltip that looks like the image also below.
Default tooltip looks great but just has that duplicate row
Customized tooltip but headers are as columns rather then rows.
Use a matrix visual and show values on rows. Or create your own custom visual.
