I tried to connect but I am getting error like
"Unable to connect. We encountered an error while trying to connect. Details: 'The downloaded data is HTML, which isn't the expected type. The URL may be incorrect, or the necessary credentials may not have been provided to the server."

Hi Raghu04
By personal OneDrive, you mean an account that is not owned by an organization? It is of course not possible to authenticate using your org account as they require different credentials and different method to connect. For OneDrive personal, please follow the steps in this post https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Query/PowerBI-support-for-OneDrive-Personal-as-data-source/td-p/129125
Note that OneDrive for Business is owned by an organization and works similarly like SharePoint. - vanessafvgCommunity Champion

Hi Raghu04
It seems like you're trying to connect an Excel file from a personal OneDrive account to Power BI Desktop using your organizational account. This often leads to authentication conflicts between the personal and organizational accounts, resulting in the error you're seeing.
Possible Solutions:
-
Save Locally:
- Download the Excel file to your local computer and connect to it from Power BI. This can help bypass the authentication issue, although it won't be automatically updated if changes are made in OneDrive.
-
Move to Organizational Drive:
- Move the file to your organization's OneDrive or SharePoint. This way, it will align with your organizational account and should solve the access problem.
