Hi @gwcs ,

In addition to the uninstallation and reinstallation that you have already tried, here are some additional solutions that can help him with Power BI Desktop startup issues:
1. Clear Power BI cache files Power BI may not start properly in some cases due to issues with cache files. You can try to delete the cache files of Power BI:
File Explorer and navigate to the following directory:

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop\AnalysisServicesWorkspaces

Try deleting everything in this folder and restarting Power BI to see if the problem is resolved.
2. Check the system log
Check the logs in Windows' Event Viewer to see if there are more details about the error to help diagnose the problem. Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer.
Check the Application logs for errors related to Power BI or .
3. Manually installing missing dependencies
According to the error message, it mentions `Microsoft.Fabric.DataHubEmbedResources`, it is possible that some of the dependencies are not installed correctly. You can try to install the relevant dependencies manually, here is the relevant official documentation found for you, hope it will help you!
Download .NET (Linux, macOS, and Windows)

Hope it helps!

Thank you. In the end, I have deleted all the files under

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop\AnalysisServicesWorkspaces

The also deleted PowerBI related entries in Rgister table. It was a pain to do as I have to keep pressing F3 to search then delete.
