Power BI Desktop vs. Power BI Web

Hi all

On my Power BI Web Portal, I do have access to our Enterprise Subscription Consumption DataSet (which gets data from Azure). When I open my Power BI Desktop Publisher, I cannot see that Dataset. Within the Desktop Client, the 'Get Data' function does not seem to offer a source which is already connected on the Web Portal.

Is there any other way to get that data into Power BI Desktop?

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Christian

@v-huizhn-msft

Hi, this did not help, as I do not have any URL or whatsoever to access the Source of that data. It gets imported by Azure automatically into Power BI Web.

Thx for help

Hi @Anonymous,

Except from PowerBI desktop, can you get the source of that data normally?

Best Regards,

Hi @Anonymous,

Get data->more->Azure, please select your database as the following screenshot shown, connect and import the data.

1.PNG

If you import date form web(highlighted in yellow background), please click Get Data->Web, type your URL and load the expected data.

2.PNG

If you have any issue, please feel free to ask.

Best Regards,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, this does not help.

The problem is, that data comes from a source which I cannot "define". It is a set of Azure consumption data, which I get sent from the Azure portal for enterprise customers. So, I do not have a URL or a SQL Server, which I can address.

Anyone another idea?

Thanks

Hi there

I want to use the "AzureEnterprise Usage Data" in PowerBI desktop. In PowerBI Online, I get that data. But there is no chance to add own columns or join that data with additional data.

So I have to get that data into PowerBI desktop.

Any ideas? Thx
