Hi @ARAFATH

You can try the following to troubleshoot:

  • Ensure that the SQL Server service is running on the host computer. You can check this using SQL Server Configuration Manager or the Services application in Windows.
  • Ensure that the computer on which Power BI Desktop is installed can communicate with SQL Server over the network. This can be tested by pinging SQL Server from the command line.
  • Verify that the correct authentication method is being used (Windows or SQL Server authentication) and that the credentials are correct. If you are using Windows authentication, ensure that Power BI Desktop is running under a user account that has access to SQL Server.
  • Verify that the firewall on the SQL Server machine allows SQL Server to listen for incoming connections on the port (TCP/IP connections default to 1433).

Best Regards,
Yulia Xu
