Power BI Desktop to Azure VM Analysis Service Connection

Hi Everyone,

I have an issue here that I am not able to resolve, we have Analysis Service Running on an Azure VM, when I am trying to connect from the Power BI desktop on my Local machine its giving error : "We could not connect to the Analysis Services server because the connection timed out or the server name is incorrect."

I have allowed port TCP-2383 on VM NSG and also whitelisted my local Machine IP and port :3389 but its still not getting connected.

I am using connection name from Power BI desktop as : <IPAddress>:<portnumber>

Can someone give their input ?

Hi @AnkySin ,

Could you please try to connect to Azure VM Analysis Service Instance with SSMS in the same machine?

If it also fails to connect successfully, there may be a problem with your configuration.
