Power BI Desktop hangs connecting to a Power BI premium DataSet

I have a simple report which uses a Dataset on a published report on our Power BI premium service.

2 or 3 times per day I'm having to end task the report because Power BI Desktop hangs, I cannot interact or even close it down.

Below is my Task Manager, CPU on the report is constant so it is doing something locally on my machine.

You can try the following steps: 

1. clear the permissions in data source settings in Dekstop and clear the browser cache to try

2  check your local network status to see if there are temporary network issues

3. update to the latest version of PowerBI (version:2.100.1401.0   Date Published:1/21/2022)

If none of the above steps work, you may need to open a support ticket to Microsoft for further investigation
