Power BI Desktop for reporting

Our company uses Power BI Desktop for reporting. We cannot use Power BI Service due to corporate policies. But in Power BI Desktop user can view data that is not relevant to him. We need to lock several buttons and keep only Edit mode. We want to lock Visualization filters pane and Fileds pane, Data view and Relationship view and keep only Report view. Just lock them, without any complexities. We are open for any solutions.

Hi @Anonymous

Have you had a look at Power BI Report Server?

Or Pyramid Analytics solutions?

Both of the above can host your Power BI Desktop files for your requirements.

Currently, we can't apply Row Level Security within Power BI Desktop, this can only be done on Power BI Service. And it's not supported to lock buttons and panes. You may submit a feature request on idea.
